SCARIFYING
Scarifying is the process by which the `undergrowth` or thatch is removed for a lawn it can be a harsh process and initially will make your lawn look worse but ultimately will make it much healthier. Thatch is mostly dead plant matter and actually prohibits healthy lawn growth by preventing nutrients and water reaching new grass shoots. A healthy lawn will have some thatch but not too much.

Apply the whole lawn area with a weed free nutrient rich compost to enouruage germination. This will also help improve grass root penetration.

PRE AND POST LAWN TREATMENTS
To help encourage healthy lawn growth we can perform a pre-seed lawn treatment high in nitrogen, this will help the new lawn establish in its crucial first few weeks of germination. Once the lawn is established we will perform a fertiliser and herbiside lawn treatment that can also be included into your regular lawn scedule.
